This Website is dedicated to the Weseman Family of Cooke County. They are 
descendants of three weseman brothers that came over as emigrant passengers 
aboard a ship during the early 1800's. They came to port in New York City, 
there they stayed with an Uncle and Aunt. They worked in thier Uncle's Grocery 
Store, while they matured to age of marriage. They all married there in New 
York City, then settled in different parts of the United States. Our line of 
the family settled in Elberton, Elbert Co. Georgia. Earnest Asbury Weseman's 
wife back in New York left him widowed. He then wed Susan Americus Styron after 
coming back from a venture out west to California during the Gold Rush. They 
had many children of which came Henry Joseph Weseman. Henry wed Susie Sophia 
Guest in Augusta Georgia. They moved to Cooke County, Texas in 1893. They had 
several children of which came John Walker Weseman. Who was my Great 
Grandfather. He wed Ela Clark of Clayton, Panola County, Texas. I welcome you
